Why did the British instinctively feel the need to kill and celebrate the death of the famous dragon when other cultures across the world experience and rejoice in the souls of every animal and object around them?

Could it be due to a western disbelief that would never permit the refined, the sophisticated or the educated to accept animals and objects around them as possessing souls and spirits of their own?

Is this denial of animism what has lead to the cold capitalism, cruel hierarchies and thoughtless consumerism that dominate our planet?

Quite possibly.

Surrealist and psychedelic art allows the viewer to suspend their disbelief and begin to accept and experience anything as a possibility. To realise that reality and normality is not necessarily what society presents to them. Once the viewer’s eyes are opened there is no going back and this is the first step to change.
